Thread: Damnit, Boston, maybe it's time already?

Damnit, Boston, maybe it's time already?

Since my first season (2011) where I took over midseason and lost 107 games, my record is 1140-848, minus the playoffs. My wins per season:

    96, 94, 91, 92, 84, 100, 99, 83, 102, 98, 98, 103, minus this season.

This is the best pitching staff I have assembled. Perhaps we can finally win a god damned World Series? I recall losing in the ALCS once and twice in the WS.

I dunno, I just feel like I can't get no satisfaction.

Pitching is how I conquered Saber in the world series

Depth wins divisions, front-line talent wins championships.

Was Vlad not a front line talent for 10+ seasons? He's fading now, sure, but Vlad, Oliver Perez, VBS for 2 seasons, LaChance, Sanor, Santor, Scott Brown, etc. were all front-line talent.

What you mean is front-line pitching talent, which I finally feel I have.

When I say front-line, I mean those top 5 pitchers and those top 4 bats. That's where you win it.

And when I say you, I mean me. Maybe you just suck.

I had no rotation and beat Florida and Boston
When I beat you saber, I was 20 something in offense.
Only my first world series win did I have both good offense and pitching.

You know, you've won other rings besides the one over me.

And anyway, I've lost plenty of World Series's'es.

Re: Damnit, Boston, maybe it's time already?

Yes, but my point is I never had a great team on paper ratings wise in any of my wins. The year I won well over 100 games, I lost to Florida or something.

Luck also plays a big part.

It's a travesty that Detroit's "McCullough and Baldwin and pray for rain" steamrolled every other team en route to its World Series championship in 2020.

    Buchholz, Sisco, Garner, Artiles

    That is all it takes.

    Luck striking 3 times? Unlikely.
I never expected to even be a winning team last season but the fact of the matter is, I still had a top tier bullpen and a capable offense.. it may have had limited power but the number of walks and steals made up for it.
