Miller goes into the rotation and promptly pitches a 3-hitter and then gives up only 3 hits over 5.2 innings in his next outing. This game seems to love mediocrity.

61-88, 4th or 5th pick currently, But Fiorini owned Ricky Vaughn

Yes I know Couch owned Crespo too...

Marceau and Barco continue to battle for the batting title. Goering remains 5 HRs away from 400.

    Re: 2020 S3SL Random Ramblings

MY TEAM NEEDS TO STOP WINNING IMMEDIATELY

Wednesday 9/10/2020: Richard Hidalgo Jr. quiets Seattle bats with shutout
TEXAS - Richard Hidalgo Jr. had his best stuff going, and Seattle hitters had nothing to cheer about. Texas' right-hander pitched a 2-hitter, his 2nd shutout of the season. 'Today I just felt fine. I had a good feeling while warming up.' Hidalgo Jr. (12-11) fanned 4 and walked 1, throwing 111 pitches. Texas' centerfielder Tsuguhiko Ikki got 2 hits in 3 AB, homering once, doubling once, with 3 RBI. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Hidalgo Jr.. Texas scored 6 runs on 8 hits.

Tuesday 9/9/2020: Ricky Ornelas stars with cycle against Seattle
TEXAS - Ricky Ornelas hits 'em where they ain't. Seattle certainly agrees as Texas' shortstop unloaded four hits and hitting for the cycle. His 1st hit was a triple off Robert Jenning in the 1st inning. In the 5th inning he belted a double off Bill Oceguera. A 428 foot drive to left-center marked his 3rd hit, a three-run homerun off Alexis Berrios in the 6th inning. That one tied it at 8 runs apiece. A single in the 8th off Leroy Lewis accounted for his 4th hit. That drive completed the cycle, causing a smile on his face! Ricky scored 2 runs, and he collected 3 RBI as well! He is hitting .291 this season, with 32 HR and 110 RBI. He becomes the 87th player in league history collect at least a single, double, triple and a homerun in a single game. On 4/25/2020, Rickie Weeks was the last player to hit for the cycle.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Well I still have like a .004% chance of making the playoffs. But being 22 games over .500 is a vast improvement over last season. Ironically, we are already 22 games over alst years mark. Solid.

    Batting AVG: .282 (9th)
    Homeruns: 145 (17th)
    Walks: 531 (9th)
    Stolen Bases: 198 (6th)
    Runs Scored: 862 (5th)

    Pitching ERA: 4.45 (10th)
    Opponents AVG: .272 (19th)
    HRs Allowed: 124 (T-11th)
    Walks Allowed: 459 (10th)
    Runs Allowed: 730 (11th)

I just HAD to jinx Sala. Can someone please give Wild Thing his glasses back, and tell Couch that an ERA above 2 is simply not acceptable from him?

    Re: 2020 S3SL Random Ramblings

I wish to congratulate Detroit at winning their first AL Central Crown. Hopefully sitting at home this year will piss some people off and I come back stronger than ever next year. Everyone is on the block this offseason as I search for the counter weight to Mike McC.

The offense continues to roll but my pitching SUCKS. Hopefully getting Dapena and Degroat down in the rotation will help them.

My wealth of offense should be long gone by then... so I could see you making a push by then. Heck, my team got good at an awful, awful time... its not acceptable being good when the opposition is great.

Why are the Rays throwing games?

On another note, the league should go dark for a few days. No *****ing.

    Re: 2020 S3SL Random Ramblings

Tied my personal high in wins with 91, but still think I had a better season in 2018, where I nearly made the playoffs, and had Todd as the MVP.

I'm still proud of my boys.

Needless to say, the Bob Saget era looks bright in Cincinnati.

Davila/Saget/Greaney is a nice start to a rotation... and the pen finally has some stability with Boyter and Wimbley emerging as quality relievers. Here's to hoping that Marceau can develop more power. Fun season... congrats to those that made the playoffs.
