Dry is still running the team. I don't think you would want Atlanta anyway if you want to have fun. The team is in bad shape coming off a 34-128 season and you won't find Andruw Jones or Tim Hudson on the team. The majority of the players are fictional, as you would expect for a long-running league that is in the year 2018.
However, if you (like General) have an obsession with Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who has long been a good player, he will be a 33-year old free agent. The Phillies are open, so if you have to have Atlanta, suppose Dry were to vacate Atlanta and take over the former.
I've seen the league site. I know most of the players are fictional. Too be honest, I just like the Atlanta Braves name. I'm new to Sim leagues so could I do worse than 34-128?

A team or two usually opens up at the end of each season. I have to say, GMs have been the most consistent I've seen in a while.
About one a season seems to be the average we've been needing for quite some time. Any openings are posted to league news, I don't notify or do waiting lists (this tends to get more active GM's.)
