weak class for hitters in the draft, lucky the pitching is so stacked this year.

That's too bad. Win 90 and lose direction.

Considering how weak this league is in hitting prospects, I wished some sliders would boost the hitting class. There's a great top group than a huge drop

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
The draft class isn't final. With the time I spent on FA's, I didn't have enough time to look at the draft class since I wanted to start FA quickly.

Sounds good to me. If you make prospects, make it so there are 25 or so 5-star guys (not including RPs). After that, who cares. :P

I think i put myself back in the race for the WC again. I had to make a move. SF was pretty lucky last season, because their offense was horrible last season but you have to respect their pitching if they show up. Fish, you realize we are in for hell in the NL this season.Originally Posted by Fishercat

This league is going to be a flat out beast with no less than half the league being real playoff contenders and not just floaters. Then you have teams like LA and STL who may not have the best chances, but have good clubs that with, some luck and acquisitions, could roll.

the al is gonna come down to the same 5 teams again... orioles, twins, white sox, angels and myself. the couple cusp teams didnt real do anything to close the gap... mariners and a's had limited money, red sox sold off their talent.
the nl is considerably deeper, with really only the mets, astros, padres and brewers who should struggle. everybody else has a shot.
LA is still young and really scares me, when they started to go after FA. Added with the fact COL was adding younger talent, SF won 90 games last season. I had to splash in FA. Hopefully i added enough to break the 80 win plateau i always seem to hit. Im pretty sure im going to get SPs in the draft.

I wont mention that STL is 2 or 3 season removed from a WS title too.

Basically, you have three teams ready to win 90+ games in the East (Mission, Molina, Myself), you have several competitive teams in the Central (Stone, KoZ, with Witlon and bjd being a little farther back IMO), and then the West where only SD is a longshot.

The West when i joined was COL and everyone else. Then the rest of the divison got better, now teams dont have a easy game in the divison (Maybe SD at the best would equal that). I do think SF is going to be the odd team out in the NL.
