Sign of a mediocre season to come?? Maybe the second half wasnt an abberation after all. If that's the case, I guess I can tip my hat to Billy Beane for getting rid of him when he did.Mark Mulder had a mediocre Cardinals' debut, allowing five runs -- four earned -- and nine hits in six innings. He finished poorly for Oakland last season, going 0-4 with a 7.27 ERA in his last seven starts, and wasn't any better Friday, walking four and striking out just three.
``I'm not very happy with it,'' Mulder said. ``I just tried to battle and hang in there.''
