At the time I took that pic, I thought it was Derek Lilliquist, but now I'm not so sure.

Like I said, at the time I thought it was bull pen coach Derek Lilliquist who now has been promoted to pitching coach. But going through the photos again, the mustache seemed a bit extreme from what I remember Derek ever sporting............but Derek IS a former pitcher.

Wouldn't be the first time though that I snapped a pic thinking it was someone else and it turned out to be just some boob on the field.

Looks like fat fuck Matt Stairs with a handlebar 'stache to me.

Does kind of resemble Matt but I don't think he was DAF'd by the Nats until later in July. Doubt he would sneak into a BP with the Cardinals even if he was available.

I do remember he had a glove on, throwing with the guys and he has the physique of a player. I doubt he's just a fan with field privileges.
