I'm too lazy to link it at the moment, but hell of a deal for the cardinals. DeRosa is the perfect clubhouse chemistry guy to join Pujols, Ludwick, and the rest of LaRussa's circus. I bet this makes the cubs feel like even more completely shitty inside.

DeRosa had 50 RBI on a pretty tattered indians team.

I like how teams trade their players out of their league and get a false sense of relief, but those players always manage to return to a rival. Like Teixeira going to the Angels one year after the Rangers traded him, and Sabathia going back to the AL and signing with the Yankees.
This is still a good deal for the Cardinals. Regardless. But I see your point.

He wasn't knocking it for the cardinals.

Well, we'll see how this pans out. DeRosa should give stability at 3B, now that he's healthy, but two strong relief prospects is a strong deal for the Tribe. The Indians have reportedly acquired Jess Todd from the Cardinals to complete the Mark DeRosa trade.
Todd was expected to be the choice. The 23-year-old projects as a major league setup man, and the Indians could bring him up to make his debut next month.
