Albert "The Machine" Pujols hit a grand slam and a 3 run blast against the Astros today.

And Brad Lidge wasn't even pitching!

Nope, but Roy Oswalt was pitching. Before his grand slam, the announcers sais that he has had 6 homers against Oswalt in his career which was tied for the most against any pitcher.

Pujols is absolutely crushing the life out of the baseball.

That Big Mac homerun had hardly any hang time!! It was an absolute moonshot that got out in a hurry! Pujols is the ****ing best in the game and its not even close.

I couldn't agree more. He is even better than the box scores show. You can look at his stats and see all of his hits, home runs, ect, but there is so much more to Pujols than what the stats show. He is the most complete player. His head is always in the game, and he is one of the best baserunners you will ever find. He is always out thinking the other players and finds a way to get the extra base or score every chance he gets. If you underestimate this man, he will find a way to prove you wrong every single time.

Very true, I would hate to be the pitcher that has to face Pujols, one mistake, and he will crush you, and make you pay.

    Re: Cardinals home run thread

I think those two homeruns combined had a hangtime over just under two seconds. I have been trying to time them this morning but keep getting different times. Eithe way, they were ****ing ropes!! And you are 100% correct on Pujols doing all the right things that will never show up in the box scores. That's why I hate people that rely so much on stats and not the game itself. Pujols is by far the smartest in the game.

Of course Pujols hit another home run today. Brian Barden also hit a homerun.

Rick Ankiel's name won't be in this thread very much this year.

I didn't think Ludwick's name would be here much, but he's doing good even in a 4 man Outfield rotation.
