Chris Carpenter will have his first rehab start for the Springfield Cardinals tomorrow. His rehab assignment can last up to 30 days, but hopefully it won't take that long. We could really use a healthy Chris Carpenter in the rotation ASAP. Of course, you don't want to rush him back before he is ready. If Carpenter returns soon, then that will be like trading for a starting pitcher, without giving up the farm. Hopefully, Wainwright will return soon also. We need them both badly.
