He battles til the end though. I would love to see him in a Brewers uniform!

Thompson can still be in the mix if they need him to be. He was bumped to the pen when Pineiro returned, but I like him as a starter. If one of the Cards 5 faulters... then Thomson is there for back-up.
Everyone is forgetting about Matt Clement too... he should be back within the next month.
Oh yeah, I did forget about Clemente. The Cards are going to get healthier soon then, just like the Brewers.
The Cards have some serious depth in there rotation.
A team can not have too much pitching these days.
thanks, it is good to see another intelligent baseball person in the forum.
BTW, welcome to S3F!! You should start a thread in the clubhouse and introduce yourself to the other members. We have a lot of great members in here.
Why rush him when they are playing as wel as they are right now anyways.
Their pitching has been very impressive to start the season. Let Mulder get stronger and bring him back when the time is right. Sounds like good smart baseball operations to me.

Mulder is 30 which is the prime of your life. I have no doubt he will be back. Question is will he be affective.
I feel Clement has the better chance of the two to getting back to their former self.
i just dont think he can ever be what he was. too many health problems. He may hang around for awhile longer, he's just not going to be what he was with the A's.
Clement is toast. both physically and mentally. always had great stuff, but he always reminded me of a bit of a flake.
