I was in a cruise today and there were lot of Red Sox fans in that boat. I notice there are lot of Red Sox fans here in NYC. More than ever now. Red Sox nation has hit the Metropolitan Area. I never thought that would happened.

You just take every single oppurtunity you can to bash the Red Sox, the Yankees, and the rivalry.

I do play the victim a lot (sometimes I am the proverbial victim), but I've had my share of confrontations which were my fault.

Well with ESPN and Peter Gammons pimping the Red Sox in the last couple of years, eventually fans become interested in them and then jump on the bandwagon since it's a chic thing.

It doesn't bother me at all. I seem to have a great rappaport with the Red Sox fans. I know a lot of Sox fans that live in my town. I know some Sox fans that attend my church. Red Sox used to have a farm team in Trenton years ago when Macha was their manager and when Nomar used to play in them so the Sox build a fanbase in NJ. I can tell you most people here miss the Red Sox farm team.

In fact, I believe NJ attracts lot of Boston sports fans. When the Bruins and Celtics come to town at Continental Airlines Arena, half the fans or most fans at the building are Bruins and Celtics fans.

I expect to deal with it around new england since I live in the middle of both of them. But when I go out to Cali or go to Baltimore and I see tons of Saux fans it disgusts me. They're everywhere! and many are really annoying to the point where I couldn't even enjoy the games. IMHO there are many bandwagon jumpers on both sides and it's overhyped beyond belief. I don't like it and I don't have to. Just like you don't have to read my posts about it if you don't like it.
