The Orioles didn't lose that last game of the series . It was postponed and will be finished when the Yankees come back to Baltimore at the end of July. That's right, the last 2 innings will resume with the Yankees up 8-6. This is some sort of new rule. I wasn't aware of it either until they said it the other day.
Ok not good news-Harden didn't pitch today. I thought that it was going to be a sure-fire thing that he was going to pitch today. I hope that there's nothing seriously wrong...
the original article I saw said Friday or Saturday...
Oh ok. I was a little worried (actually I still am)...hopefully he'll pitch atleast one game this series. If he ends up back on the DL I think I'll go crazy.
I hope he can get back soon. If he doesn't the A's could be so far back in the standings it won't even matter much.
Ok so Harden pitched 2 innings of shutout relief today. He got into one jam in the 8th but was able to work himself out of it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be any pain tomorrow and that he'll be fine.
Keep those fingers crossed HCG.
On second thought-bad idea. I'll jinx it. I'll just say I hope the A's win and that Harden is perfectly fine.
That is even a better idea.
I know.
WE HAVE A WINNER!!! 2 WEEKS!! Harden does not disappoint yet again.
Athletics placed RHP Rich Harden on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 8, with a strained right shoulder.
Harden is just going to have to do his best to pitch through it at some point. This, however, apparently is not the time. He can't be counted on to contribute in fantasy leagues at any point during the final two months. The A's will likely go forward with both Joe Kennedy and Lenny DiNardo in the rotation for now. One could be bumped if Esteban Loaiza makes it back next month. Jul. 12 - 1:58 pm et
NOT AGAIN! Grrr what is this guy's problem? That's like 5+ times in like 3 or so years. Hate to say it though, but I'm not suprised.
Word from is that Harden is aiming to make two starts before the end of the season
