2003 was 4 years ago. I am in the present not the past. And by the end of the year the Yankees will be playing golf and so will the Orioles. But the difference is several millions of dollars spent on the team.

26 Titles.
Last one in 2000. 7 years ago and counting. I don't really even remember the Yankees winning one except for in 2000. I was 10 at the time anything before that I was way to little.
So, I was 9 years old when they won it all in 2000. What's your damn point.
What I am saying is that I could careless about all the championship the Yankees bought. If I was too young to remember it I usually cannot relate to it. That is just the way I am. Like to me the Orioles have never won a World Series. I know they have but it was long before I was even a twinkle in my parents eye. I just can't relate to that club from 1983, or 1970 or 1966. I was not there to experience it.
And you'll probably never experience another O's title. Unless all 29 of the other teams stadiums become like nuclear bombs, and blow up.
I wouldn't count on that. It sure looks like the Orioles are building a pretty good pitching staff with Bedard, Cabrera, Loewen, and Guthrie. Much better than the old man river Yankees staff. The Orioles just need to build around a certain few fielding players like Markakis, Hernandez, Roberts, and Huff.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.

If you look at my previous posts I did not say anything about the past history of the Orioles winning the World Series. As to me I was not even born yet since the last time they won one. I also think looking into the past is ridiculous it is all about now and what the team is doing. And you have to agree with me that The Yankees, Orioles, and even the Twins are all underachieving. The sad thing is look at the payrolls of those three teams.
Oh, I agree Mr. Angelos is pretty damn awful, but I wouldn't even put him in the same catagory as Steinbrenner. To work for Steinbrenner you always have to be walking on pins and needles and your head is on the chopping block. That is no way to be the head of an organization.
Find me an owner as committed to winning as George Steinbrenner.

Come on Browntown, Yes Yankees spend money, yes they have the backing to do it. But please tell me about the health of Steinbrenner. He is going down hill and your going to deny this.

#1The Oakland A's Owner, although he gets players by the draft and by making smart trades with the assistance of a great GM.
#2 The Atlanta Braves-another team thank has built there success by there minor league system and some smart trades with the assistance of a good GM.
