There's some good playoff rotations out there for sure.

    Zito
    Loaiza
    Haren
    (75%) Harden

    Bonderman
    Rogers
    Verlander
    Robertson

    Santana
    Bonser
    Radke (probable)
    Silva

    Wang
    Johnson
    Mussina
    Wright/Lidle?

A's and Tigers have the others beat, but the Twins have the best bullpen and the Yankees have the best batting lineup. Fun times to come.

Actually, Harden is going to be the number 3. He is going to make one more start on the final day of the season to up his pitch count to 90 so he'll be full strength for game 3. And I'll take our bullpen of Calero, Duke, Kennedy, and Street any day.

oh noes...a rough start today some shitty infield hits and a few walks, but he's healthy and that's all that matters...I'd rather get the rough start out of the way in a meaningless last game of the season than game 3 or 4 of the playoffs.

Look who was right! ESPN's bottomline says Haren game 3, Harden game 4.

yea, they just changed it dumbass...it was Harden, then Haren...but they wanted to give Harden an extra day and pitch Haren on his normal rest...of course if the A's swept, then Harden would become the #1 possibly

Looks like Zito is starting game 1 and who knows after that, but I imagine Harden would start the 2nd game.

now they're saying either game 3 or game 4. they should decide soon. If Haren pitches game 4, he could still come back for game 7 they said whereas Harden wouldn't be able to. If they start Harden game 3, then he would be ready for game 7.

The rumor is that in a meeting of front office personnel, the group was split 5-5 on whether Harden or Esteban Loaiza should get the game two start. The concern is that if Harden doesn't get back on a mound soon, he'll be too rusty to make a start.
I'd be interested in knowing who in the front office voted for Harden and who was for Loaiza.
