Will Jamie Moyer have a quailty start on Opening Day? I hope hes does but he is 42.
How do you know when your rotation is bad? When you have a 42 year old as your #1 SP.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.
I dont think its going to be a bad rotation. i think it will be better than average at best. depends on the 4 and 5 starters.
The O is going to be key for our team. I think our rotation will be able to keep us in games, but not win us many games. Ichiro, Reed, Sexson, Beltre, and Boone are going to have to come up big to support Moyer, Pineiro, Madritsch, Franklin, and Meche. I think that is the definition of average. But as I said, they may be successful IF the offense produces.

I think the Bullpen is more key than the Offense. Can this bunch deliver when it counts is my issue.
My point was that if the Offense doesn't produce then we are in trouble. We are depending on them a little too much i think.

i think the offense is fine, its the pitching that concerns me.
The Mariners jumped out early feeding of new blood. Sexson had all 5 RBIs of 2 swings of a bat. There is concern when Reed, Boone, Ibanez, Winn, Olivo and Valdez went a combined 0 for 19 in the game. The Bullpen went 2 and 2/3 innings of perfect baseball. The Encourgaing thing about it is Mateo to Villone to Everyday Eddie.
Hitter of the Game - Richie Sexson 2 for 3, 2 HRs (2), 5 RBIs
Pitcher of the Game- Jamie Moyer 5.2 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 4 K, 0 BB
2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)
TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
This would help if I didnt have to work today to get a better feel for the game. The encougaging thing is they got to Santana early. Honestly that surprised me but it is his 1st start of the season. Jacque Jones and Justin Morneau killed us today. Every single regular got a hit today for the twinkies. Adrian Beltre and Richie Sexson could be that 1-2 punch that hasnt been here in a while. Combined 3 for 7, 3 RBIs. Meche only walked 2 batters which is good for him but allowed 6 hits and 4 earned runs. Thornton once again did a GREAT JOB in relief or lack there of. allowing 3 ERs, 4 H in 1/3 IP. The SEVEN Run 5th killed the M's. They have got to learn to keep leads if the offense jumps out early like they have so far this season.
Hitter of the Game- Adrian Beltre 2 for 3, 2B (1), 2 RBIs
Pitcher of the Game- J.J. Putz, 1 H, 2 Ks and Shiggy Hasegawa 2.1 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 Ks.

At this point last year we were 1-5 and like 5 games back of Oakland, right now were only 1 back at 3-4

How about the Tacoma Rainiers pitching staff right now?
Joel Pineiro, 7 IP, 1.29 ERA, 6 K's
Jorge Campillo, 6.2 IP, 1.35 ERA, 4 K's
Felix Hernandez, 6 IP, 0.00 ERA, 4 K's
Cha Seung Baek, 6 IP, 0.00 ERA, 6 K's
Obviously Joel will be back on the M's soon, I assume since he went 7 innings that they feel he is completeley healthy, but when do you think the other three will be brought up? I'm sort of excited to see Baek in the pen.
Nice! The second half of the season looks good with some of these guys in the rotation.

Well I have some more good news. We played no games to day, and moved from tied last place to 2nd place! How about that! Can't do much better then that.

Element and Porter: What's your take on Grover so far? I am curious to hear your reaction with his managerial work.
