Mariners trade Taijuan Walker to Arizona for Jean Segura

Arizona gets Taijuan Walker and Ketel Marte for Jean Segura, Mitch Haniger and Zac Curtis. Strong play by D-backs new crew.

Arizona sold high on Jean Segura and bought low on Taijuan Walker and Ketel Marte. Marte a legit SS, four years younger than Segura to boot.

Segura was good last year and Walker hasn't lived up to high expectations, but the sell high/buy low aspect favoring the Dbags definitely has the feel of a Bill Bavasi-esque move.

This trade was a really interesting one to me. At first, I thought the Mariners definitely won the deal but I have read quite a bit saying otherwise. I personally think that the Mariners got the better end of the deal. A Cano-Segura infield is going to be slick.
