    Mariners Mariners bring back Morse, trade Jaso to A's

    Three team deal is as followed:

    Mariners get: 1B/OF Michael Morse
    A's get: CA John Jaso
    Nationals get: RHP AJ Cole & RHP Blake Treinen

    No Justin Upton for Seattle, but not a bad little buy. The A's get their catcher against righties in the deal, and the Nats save some cash to cover Soriano's deal.

    Pretty even three way, here.

    I wonder if Seattle is going to call Griffey to play CF, since they're already playing throwback in the outfield with Ibanez and Morse...?

    Yeah, but Derek Norris was supposed to be a franchise catcher so that the A's wouldn't have to give back Cole, the other centerpiece in the Gio Gonzalez trade, for a platoon partner.
