    Re: 2012 Seattle Season Thread

White Sox owned the Mariners this weekend. The offense was bad even for their standards. Perfect game by Humber. Bullpen blows two leads. Bleavan and Felix were hard luck losers again. They are now 7-10 for the season.

After losing to the White Sox, the Mariners swept Detroit of all teams with their dominant offense *rolls eyes*.

Michael Saunders hit HR's in the 9th and 10th (Grand Slam) to carry the M's to a 9-5 victory over Toronto.

They improve to 11-10 (tied with OAK for 2nd) and have winning streak killer Kevin Milwood on the hill today.

They are currently on a 5 game losing streak. There are going to be times of inconsistency with this young team. It's time to release Figgins he's holding back guys that need more at bats.

The M's beat the Twins tonight 7-0 after blowing Vargas quality start the day before.

Hernandez and Delabar combine for 1 hitter (Span singled in the 4th).

The bigger story has been the torrid hitting of 3B Kyle Seager. Kyle homered yet again and added 4 RBIs in the win. He is currently slugging .516 this season.

The M's improved to 14-17 after a 3 run rally in the 9th to ruin Doug Fister's return to Seattle. They have Detroit's number so far. The Mariners have the way of giving fans heartburn with the late dramatics, good and bad.

I wasn't referring to not using Valverde. I was referring to Leyland leaving Dotel in after walking the first two batters while not being close to the strike zone. Terrible managing by Leyland

Seattle tagged Verlander for 3 runs on Tuesday but lost 4-3.

Vargas stymied the Tigers in a 2-1 win.

Seattle has stuggled on this road trip. They have lost 5 of 6 and have been outscored by a score of 34-14.

The offense is magically 20th in runs scored, but as a team are hitting .233 with a .287 OBP and .364 SLG

Liddi could possibly play SS for the minus on offense that is Brendan Ryan.

Carp was a late scratch today, Figgins started in his place......
