Jack Wilson loses 22 lbs

ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that Jack Wilson lost 22 pounds over the offseason.
We didn't realize he had that much to lose. Wilson now tips the scales at 177 pounds, which he says is the lightest he's been in almost 10 years. He wanted to lose the wright in order to take pressure off his chronically sore hamstrings. Though still a fine glove man, Wilson has tanked at the plate in recent years, hitting just .249/.282/.316 with no homers over 193 at-bats last season.

I honestly do believe the M's are going for the record for the weakest hitting infield in MLB history.

Well, unless Ackley spends the entire season in the minor leagues, even the Mariners would be hard pressed to match futility infielders Alex Cora and Cesar Izturis of the '03 Dodgers.

You obviously missed last years bunch. Unless Ackley wins the 2B job for the ENTIRE season and Justin Smoak finds his potential, It's debatable.

I don't see Ackley being called up before May so Ackley can't be a candidate for Super Two status early. I think the M's should but don't see the M's doing it.
