It's official, the Mariners will have the weakest hitting infield in the modern era, possibly ever.Mariners signed INF Adam Kennedy to a minor league contract.
He'll also get an invite to spring training. Kennedy, who turned 35 today, batted just .249/.327/.327 with three home runs and 31 RBI in 389 plate appearances with the Nationals last season. With Brendan Ryan expected to open the season as the starting second baseman, Kennedy will likely battle Matt Tuiasosopo and Josh Wilson for the one of the final bench spots.
