Baldwin is a very inconsistent pitcher that could amount to a decent back end of a rotation starter if he calms down and just pitches. His stuff is average at best but he seems to have decent feel for the game when hes on the mound.Baseball is a simple concept. Someone throws the ball, someone else tries to hit it or catch it. Sounds easy on paper. But Rainiers' starting pitcher Andy Baldwin, in his fifth year as a professional, is still working on this concept. He's improving on what he needs to do, but said he occasionally tends to over-think situations.
"I've gotten better every year," he said. "I didn't have much of an idea what was going on when I was younger.
