Mariners fired Bill Bavasi today! Party time in Seattle!
Its about 2 years too late but I want to nominate Mission to run our franchise.
2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)
TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
So much for the M's winning the Wild Card.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
That is sure good news for the Mariners. Now watch the owners hire someone like the GM of the Supersonics.
Damn are you an English teacher?

Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!
The 2074 MSL NL Gold Glove Recipient at Third Base.
And the M's have lost their minds!! The firesale starts tomorrow. In their first game since firing their general manager, the Mariners have shifted Ichiro Suzuki to right field on Monday.
Let the hijinks begin. Ichiro, a Gold Glove winner as a center fielder last season, will be making his first start at his old position since 2006. The Mariners desperately need more offense, so they'll try making their best player less valuable by playing at him at a position at which it's easier to find offense. Makes perfect sense to us. Willie Bloomquist is getting the start in center tonight. They'll probably put Kenji Johjima at first base next.
I can buy that move if they were putting something different or new in centerfield, not recyclables. Looks like the incompetency still lingers.

They are moving Joh to 1B to probably do two things
1) Call up Clement for good this season
2) Finally release Strikeson (Sexson)
Balentien has played some CF in Tacoma but its miminal, Reed has also taken grounders at 1B and will play some CF. They have considered moving Ichiro in the lineup. But the Firesale will start pretty soon. Im pretty sure of that one. But they cant get much with this roster. Its frustrating to be an M's fan.

Ichiro in CF and Balantein in RF looks pretty damn good to me. The move doesn;t make sense.
I like Balentien's arm in RF but hes hitting .198 right now. So that may have something to do with it too.

LOL, its not like the M's are going places. Let Balantien play. He has nothing to prove in AAA and neither does Clement. These guys are the future so why not get them ready for next year.
Looks like Sexson is on his way out the door next.
