Toronto Blue Jays vs. Seattle Mariners
Safeco Field @ 7:05 PM PST
Gustavo Chacin (5-3, 3.34) vs. Gil Meche (4-3, 8.09)
-Gil Meche throws 6.2 innings of shut out ball.
-Adrian Beltre drives in a run.
-Our catcher goes 2-2.
-The Nelson-Thorton combo does not give up a run.
What happened to our old Mariners? I'm sure they'll find out a way to blow it in the 9th.
M's win 3-0. It took us 5 pitchers, but we shut out the Jays. Beltre, Ibanez, and Boone combined to go 5-12 w/ 3 RBI's. That is the sort of production we need from those guys, but never seem to get. Red-hot Jeremy Reed went hitless, but Borders picked up the production for the bottom of the order. And Mike Morse is going to need a lot more seasoning at AAA, we may be better off with Bloomquist (wtf did I just say?!) there for now. Apparently they want to see if Lopez can take over for Boone at 2B in '06, so they'll be playing him there at Tacoma for a few weeks probably before we see him in Seattle.
Can I ask what Morse was thinking calling Grover as "Big Dog"? WTF is that? It's lack of respect to call your boss as big dog. If I ever call my boss as big dog, I would get a reprimand and rightfully so. I am shocked he would do that.
Great win BTW!
How about Pat Borders, eh? He must have saw the Fountain of Youth.
I've always heard that Morse had character problems, apparently he is overly-cocky. Doesn't suprise me.
As bad as the M's are, they are only 9 out. That's remarkable.
If the offense can get it straightened out, things could get better.
That got blown out of wack (Morse). I mean the kid got called up to the SHOW. What do you expect hes still shocked i bet.
Meche was solid today, He kept the ball down and its ironic that both shutouts had Borders behind the plate. Hes been great handling games, Im still skeptical of his offense right now.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.
Should we start a streak thread like Joek
