While I like Erik Bedard, I have to agree with Porter. The more I think about tis trade the more it worries me that I'll have to sit and watch Adam Jones bat .325 with 30 home runs and 100 rbi's in baltimore while the mariners sit around with an aging outfield. Even if Balentien develops into a great player, you have Raul Ibanez who won't be around much longer, and as much as we seattle fans want Ichiro to be ageless, you can't help but wonder how many more years he has left in him. Who knows, if Bedard does what he did in the second half last year then it may well have been worth it, but till then I'll cross my fingers.
