Yankees Series Recap: NYY @ SEA

    M's win a series, finally.
    here's the games outcomes:

    8/22: SEA: 6 | NYY: 5
Adrian Beltre finally gave the Mariners something to cheer about, cracking a homer in the ninth, his second of the game, to end the club's 11-game losing streak. Cha Seung Baek pitched well in his first MLB game since 2004.

    8/23: NYY: 9 | SEA: 2
Felix Hernandez suffered through his shortest start of the season, surrendering nine hits and walking four batters in just 3 2/3 innings against the Yanks. Seattle rallied with a two-run seventh, sparked by Yuniesky Betancourt's RBI single.

    8/24: SEA: 4 | NYY: 2
The Mariners' offense was supplied by Jose Lopez and Richie Sexson. Lopez contributed a RBI single in the first and third while Sexson's double that followed Lopez' third-inning hit drove home two more runs.

Seattle has to play the role of spoiler right now. Because their playoff hopes are gone.

I've semi-lost interest in this season, as far as the M's go.

If only we played the Central and East the whole season, we might be in this. The west is so though this year. Can't beat them. Need to beat up on the bad teams like the Yankees while we have our shot.

You know the M's are a .500 team vs. east and central teams? (Along w/ 14-4 during interleague....

47-37 vs everyone except the AL West....

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.
