I'm looking forward to Gil pitching tonight, I voted 6-10 BTW, I think we bounce back after a horrid performance against Washburn. Lackey is no Washburn.
We made Paul Byrd look like Jesus. Anything is possible? i went to 1-5. They are pressing to get anything going.

It is just inconsistency, in certain games this year, Ich, Reed, Beltre, Sexson, Boone, Ibanez, and Winn have all played awesome, but no one outside of Ich is consistent and it seems as if everyone is hitting, or no one is hitting. It sucks when your 3 and 4 hitters go 0-7.
The 3-9 hitters went 0 for 24 yesterday. Washburns WHIP was higher than Lackey's going into that day.

Well then color me excited, but I still think it has more to do with our hitters being in a slump and having a bad day than the Angels SP's. I have a feeling they burst out of that slump tonight, Lackey has good stuff, but he can get roughed up a lot (kind of like Gil).Originally Posted by Porter99
I hope they can break out of that funk but really maybe the lineup needs to be adjusted again. Something has to be done though.

I'd much rather have Gil going tonight than Joel or Sele, but I'm biased as hell towards Gil.
Thats very justifiable considering Sele and Joel havent really BLEW it up.

All I want is some consistency, except for Moyer we haven't really seen that out of any pitcher over the past five years. That is why I was excited for Mads this year.
By the way, you gonna be here tonight during the game Porter? I'll be up until at least the end of the Sixers game, I may stay on for a while depending on how Gil is pitching. I'm still tired as shit from this weekend.
Let's DO BETTER THAN THIS TONITE

Wilson Valdez will go hitless tonight if he starts. I'm honestly all for starting Willie at short until Pokey gets healthy, defense be damned, we're good on D with or without Valdez.
You better bank on it....Hes starting tonite.
