What Did Schierholtz Do?

Did Nate Schierholtz **** Bruce Bochy's wife? Daughter? Did he get drunk and piss on a group of boy scouts? Did he rape Brian Sabean's little boy because there has got to be a reason why he is not getting any playing time! This is an absolute outrage!! The offense has been dismal and Fred Lewis has looked terrible defensively in the outfield so why is Nate not getting the occasional start? Why is Eugenio Velez getting more ABs than him? Schierholtz is 25 years old and a strong defender who needs to get some ABs instead of rotting away on the bench. He is 1-4 so far this year which would put that average better than five of our starters. Nate sure must have pissed someone off for him to be getting so little playing time. Bochy needs to take his head out of his ass and give Nate a start or two. Who knows? The offense just might score more than two runs! I want answers as to why Nate is not getting more ABs and why he hasn't started one single game so far this year.

This appears to be the BIG mystery of the Giants so far this season. Even if they did not use him in the outfield why not give him a try at first? No I am with you. He has pissed off someone or someone needs to be fired for over looking this guy.

My earlier posts were more for comedic value, but there is some truth behind them.

Bochy will always favor the vet over the young player.

Padres fans went through the same thing with Xavier Nady.

Lewis isn't exactly a vet though is my point. Lewis should have never been handed the job. If Bochy truly loved the vets, Dave Roberts would still be a Giant.

Bochy favors vets, but he's not stupid.

Plus, he doesn't have final say on roster moves, so he isn't the one who made the decision to not resign Roberts.

I'm sure he's favoring Lewis because he's more experienced.

Whether or not that's the right choice isn't really the point, but I do feel compelled to point out that Lewis is batting .395.

I am compelled to point out he has one RBI in the third hole. He is hitting but not when it matters and he has costs us more than one run in the field.

Just going off this year's performance, Randy Winn is the one who needs to be benched, not Fred Lewis.

You just don't bench a guy with a .521 OBP

Winn is a better hitter and much better defender. Lewis is failing to do any of the small stuff like advancing runners or catching the damn ball. Not saying bench him permanetly but giving him a break and letting Nate start a game would help both. Letting Nate play in RF once a week would help Winn too. Lewis just strikes out too much and not a strong fielder. Velez is not a good hitter or fielder but gets more chances than Nate who is supposed to be our 4th OFer.

If he's getting more opportunities than Schierholtz that's dumb.
