In the B-8th, the Astros bring in a lefty to face Bowker and Bochy pinch hits Castillo for him. I would have gone with Ortmeier against the lefty. Also, Molina's numbers continue to go down. It would be smart to drop him down in the order. Its just not smart to have a guy with a OBP of. 300 hitting in front of a guy hitting .325.

Cain wins his second game of the year and lowers his ERA to 4.17. Wilson got his 12th save of the year leading the NL. Durham reached twice in his game back and Lewis was a homerun shy of hitting for the cycle exactly one year after doing it on May 13th, 2007.

By far last nite was his best outing thus far. 8 IP, 5Ks (4BBs!!!), not to mention a HR on the offenseive side. This guy can really hit! He's like Micah Owings!

Giants blow a good opportunity in the third with runners on the corners and one out. Bowker comes up and swings at the first pitch...again. He fouled it off. He later popped it up into shallow CF and didn't get the run home. Castillo then strikes out. Castillo has been playing nice defense so far.

The Giants have left six guys on base tonite. Not too bad, but obviously it isn't too good either. And Misch wasn't actually pitching too bad either. 3 ERs, 6Ks, and 0 BBs in 6 IP. But when your offense doesn't score very many runs, I guess that that's not enough.
