The Giants start of a long month of division series and it starts with the Rockies

SF: RHP Matt Morris (8-8, 4.61 ERA)
Morris displayed no ill effects from taking a liner off his right forearm during his last start Sunday. The 31-year-old right-hander held the Pirates scoreless through six innings before rain ended his outing. Since June 4, his ERA has dropped 71 points, from 5.32 to 4.61.

COL: LHP Jeff Francis (8-9, 3.63 ERA)
Three bad pitches were all it took to ruin Francis' night last Saturday. With his mom in the crowd, he gave up two solo homers and a two-run triple -- all coming after not allowing a run through four innings. He said he threw OK, but got tired in the seventh after throwing a complete game in his previous start.

    Player to watch
Omar Vizquel is batting .667 (8-for-12) in his last four games. He is batting .309 against left-handed pitchers this season.

Giants lost 5-2 with Bonds being ejected in the bottom of the ninth. Simply pathetic is all I can say. Bonds homered earlier as did Feliz but why get ejected when you can do something with a man on third? Lowry is on the mound tonight and he really needs to pick things up. He has been terrible since the all star break and he will be dueling it out with Jason Jennings who is having a pretty damn good year.

Lowry did turn things around pitching 9 innings and giving up just one run. Unfortunately it was not enough as the Giants and Rockies are tied at 1 going into the 10th. Bonds is 2-4 with the only RBI for the Giants.

He was good for a bunt and saved a player off the bench.

Giants blow it in the 11th. Vizquel leads off the inning with a single. That's good news but with Durham batting, Vizquel gets caught stealing. This cannot happen. If you want him on second, let Durham bunt him over. That puts the tying run on second with Bonds on deck who would then walk. But noooooooooooo, Durham strikes out, Bonds singles then Alfonzo gets the pinch hit strike out. Sweeney should have been there in that situation. Great game blown by the Giants. Its hard to see this team making any type of playoff.

Cain with a great performance going 7 IP and 12 K's. The best part is that he didn't walk a soul. The Giants offense finally shows up and a good thing too as everyone else won in the division besides the Rockies of course.
