    J. Wright Volunteered to Pitch on 3 Days Rest

Wright volunteered to pitch on three days' rest to keep the rotation intact, but he's also been pitching well. In his last outing vs. the Mets on Saturday, he allowed only five hits and two runs over eight innings. He took a no-decision, but continued a good streak in which he's gone 3-1.

This is why this guy was such a great pick up, and a great guy for this staff!
I hope he is a Giant for a long time!

I am a little surprised that Kevin Correia or Brad Hennessey did not step up for the assignment! It was a chance for a start and you never know what that wil lead to. Anyway Wright is a real team player!

    GO GIANTS!!!

DirtyKash...That is my big concern, but no one else stepped forward and I guess they did not want to call anyone up for the start. Also I do not think he will go more than six innings if that many.

I read in the SF newspaper over the weekend that Hennessey would get the start. What happened I wonder? The guy has done nothing but pitch great when given the opportunity.

Hennessey pitched 4 innings on Monday so no way should he have pitched. Correia was the only logical choice!

I agree unless they kept the kid that was sent down today to make room for Worrell! He could have started and than he could have been sent back down. It would have been a way to look at him in this role and save Wright for his regular start. JMO

Like I said in the other post, Wilson is not a starting pitcher!

    And like I said,
According to some reports he has been and want to again. Hell he could have done no worse than what the pitchers did today. JMO
All I am saying is given the state of the rotation it would have been worth a look see! JMO

Yeah but I would rather keep him in the pen if that's what they want to do with him. Correia is used to the back and forth hassle. They could have called up Kinney or Cooper for a game and then send them back down. They both have the experience.

I have no problem with that idea. I just don't like to over work starters. One bad move with one of these guys and it take forever to get them back on track.
