Noah Lowry forced to leave Braves game early

    Uh oh.

    That's not good.

Looks like an abdominal injury or ribcage injury.

Hopefully Fassero can get the job done even though he gave up back to back homers to McCann and Sosa and hopefully Lowry won't have a Sabathia type injury. If Lowry goes to the DL, Correia should take his spot.

    Yes.

Pretty good swing on it, too.

Giants have just tied the game on a two run single from Durham. Then a convenient wild ptich for Durham to move to second so they can walk Bonds guilt free.

I am so glad Alou took my advice and switched Niekro and Feliz in the order.

So much for Jorge Sosa pitching in this game... 6-2 Giants after a 3 RBI double by Feliz.

They say Lowry has a lower back strain. Giants have an off day on Monday so we will see how Lowry is feeling tomorrow. It is now 6-3 Ginats with Walker coming in to pitch.

Giants win 6-4 over the Braves in the home opener. Vizquel continued his great start going 2-3 with a run scored and a stolen base. Bonds struggled but got on base twice today and also scored. Great job today by the pitching staff coming up when Lowry went down. Fassero did well as did Walker and Munter. Walker had a great AB to earn a walk and Worrell got his second save of the year.

Giants win 6-4 over the Braves!

It was a very interesting Opener. I was there for all the fun. Bonds was given a standing O when he was announced before the game. Lowry looked great for the 1 2/3 inn. he pitched and then was removed for back strain. We will know in about 24 hours how long he will be out. All in all a good game, with good "D" by the Giants. Fassero is a joke, and they need to address that.

How is he a joke? He came up huge in this game. Sure he gave up three runs but that's huge for a guy thrown into it like that. He did what we asked and that was to fill in and keep us in the game. No joke in that.

Reefer.. This guy was lucky to have lasted long enough to get the win. It took some great D to save him time and again. The hitters were running to the plate to get a chance to hit. I know it is better to be lucky than good, but his luck is about to run out, and he and everyone in the ballpark knew it.
I just hope the Giant Brass took notice! Give me Correia and lets move on.
