Hahaha ... guess he'll fit in well with the other washed up pitchers like Chan Ho Park, Shawn Estes and Dewon Brazelton.

How can Dewon be "washed up"

I can see labeling him a bust (although i wouldn't agree quite yet) but doesn't one have to be good at some point in his career before he can later on be "washed up"?

Brazelton was the OD starter last year. Does that count as being good? At least for a spring?

nobody's calling him an instant winner because of his spring.

But when you take into account that he is, none-the-less, having a good spring and his age it's a bit of a jump to blow him off as a "bust" or "washed up" right now.

anyways, for an added bit of irony, considering the conversation going on in the Tom Verducci thread in the MLB main forum....

Aquilino Lopez is making the most of his opportunities with the Toronto Blue Jays. The pitcher was originally with the Mariners organization, but was taken by Toronto as a Rule 5 draft pick. The Mariners lost interest in Lopez when they found out he lied about his age (he went from 22 to 27).

We know 18-19 year olds lie about being 21. This Lopez ****er lies about being 22 when he's 27? He's trying to audition for an Oil of Olay commercial?

Just had to do it again. As I pointed out earlier, he was the Drays OD starter because of a great spring and look what happened. Spring stats mean shit except for making roster spots. He's no Rgoer Clemens. Hell he isn't even close to Roger McDowell.

What did happen last year? Wasn't the brother he raised from the time his parents either left or died, killed !.......... I think thats the story I remember hearing last year, when he left the team without warning........If I misheard the story then I stand corrected......but if I heard the story correctly then there was a pretty damn good reason for someone that young to not be altogether there mentally.........By the way......he's still very young, and it is possible to un**** yourself before you become washed up ( see Randy Johnson ).....and no I didn't just say he was Randy Johnson, so save yourself the stupid remark......He has ALWAYS had a live arm, this comes from everyone that has ever seen him pitch. Last year admittedly he had control issues, but many attribute that to what he was going through.

We'll just have to wait and see if that was the case, but to flat say he's washed up in his early 20's is just stupid...........

Spring stats make Barry think he's ready for the season.......are you laughing at him also ?

Haha. Nice find there, Leo. Lying from 27 down to 22 is just too comical.

How dumb or should I say uneducated are you? First off, I have said he isn't washed up. Secondly, Bonds has never had to have spring training results to be ready. Bonds does not say he is ready due to the stats moron. Bonds has barely played in the spring over the past few seasons. He has played long eneough to know if and when he is ready.

As far as Brazelton, nothing backs up your claim.
