    Craig Wilson?

Craig Wilson, who reportedly could be the focus of the Clement/Arroyo trade talks, without question could be available in a trade of any kind.
The Red Sox aren't the only team interested in Wilson. Atlanta, Cleveland, San Diego and Seattle also are believed to have asked about Wilson's availability.
    uhhh...why?

I guess more insurance for Khalil, I suppose

Unless you consider David Wells to be a #2 starting pitcher this is in no way a feesable demand, not at this point in the "offseason"

The 2006 squad is pretty much set. What they should do, if anything, is bring in Wells if they can get him for the right price (which would NOT be Mirabelli and/or Dave Roberts) and I guess they feel they need to find a decent back up for Khalil.

I know.......so damn sad too........the potential of this offense is going to be wasted by a rotation that for the most part wont be able to hold a lead..........IMO

if you want an optomistic viewpoint of the rotation

    Peavy is Peavy
Chris Young had a better year last year than Eaton ever had while pitching in a bandbox his rookie year...so I'm 98 percent certain Chris Young will do fine.
Dewon is looking great in ST...hopefully it translates well against major league competition
Woody apparantly had "issues" distracting him all last year
CHP looked unbeatable in the WBC
And apparantly Estes is looking decent in ST

That said, i'm not holding my breath for anything (except for Peavy doing great, of course) but if you want an optomistic outlook on it, there it is.

Yes it's what I've been clinging to this whole offseason...... and I agree that
    -Peavy is Peavy
    -Young will easily replace Eaton
-Brazelton will be our lucky sleeper

however I do not buy into
-Woody being more than he's ever been
-Estes being more than he's been

and as far as CHP goes, he's only been unhitable coming out of the bullpen, which is great and what I think we can expect from him this year.... I don't think he's done much in the way of starting games, he was just brilliant as a closer.... or do I have that wrong, and he was starting games ???

So we have a solid #1, unproven #2, longshot #3, excuses #4, hasbeen #5 , and added possible strength to the bullpen with CHP .... is that what you see?

Trachsel is hardly a "#2 starter"

I was merely attempting to give my best optomistic viewpoint

    - Woody I don't know, mainly because of the reports of his "issues" last year. But I don't have much hope.

    - Estes: my remark on him was the biggest reach. I'd believe Klesko would hit 40 bombs this year before I believe Estes will have a good year.

    - Chan Ho Park: Again, I was just being optomistic as I can. He wasn't exactly facing a bunch of major leaguers.
But for what it's worth, he did start a game for Korea and pitched five scoreless innings.

and I value your opinion......and love the optimism......I was also just giving mine ...... which is far more pessimistic I will say, but I usually take more of a realists stance, than that of an optimist.........not nearly as fun at times.....but usually keeps me sane

I hope, as I said before, to be wrong about our rotation....... and that the guys they have in place will make me forget my rants about needing a #2 arm.....I really do hope for that
