I love how the announcers were making excuses for McNair the entire game.

<McNair overthrows a wide open reciever and puts the ball right in Jammer's hands>

Guys.......this one isn't on Marty......while I'm not a fan of Martyball, two missed FG's are the reason we lost.......it's that simple

Two missed FG opporunities was 6 points off the board.. That was a part of it.

But the overly conservative play calling also didn't really give us a chance either.

Time and time again, we ran the ball in the 2nd half, even in 3rd and long situations, only to put the pressure on our special teams and defense.

Again....I'm not saying I like Martyball........but add 6 to our pts.....we win....this time it's that simple....and controlling the clock vs. a team like the Ravens is key.....so I can't condemn the play calling too much this time....but I can the kicking game....

Bochy has more credibility for having taken a team to the championship round. Marty is NFL's Lenny Wilkens, without the ring.

Marty has one game per week though, so his miscues are felt by the fanbase for a whole week before the team has a chance to redeem itself

Marty is a fine coach.......you don't get onto the alltime wins list by sucking....he just needs to adapt to todays game, and understand that passing the ball is a good thing for the running game

The problem is, Marty doesn't even play his own strategy correctly.

I understand the concept of running the clock when you have the lead. But you can't run the clock if you don't have the ball, you can't keep the ball if you don't get first downs, and you can't get first downs if you run the ball every play.

True the Chargers would've won last Sunday had Nate made his missed FG or Scifres hadn't bobbled the snap on the other one, but none of that would've mattered had Marty not been so damn stubborn.
