Spiraling out of control? Of course that is what the sensationalistic local news would have you believe. Quite the contrary. McCourt being ousted was a victory for the franchise.

MLB took over BECAUSE the franchise is spiraling out of control.......borrowing $30m just to make payroll .....You are right it's a great thing for the Dodgers now they'll have someone in a position to conduct a fire sale to make the franchise easier to sell off ....My only real concern is that Mark Cuban is going to get a wild hair and finally get his chance into the club......If that happens he'll sink a ton out of pocket to go with revenues and try and buy a ring right away....Great for the Dodgers fans but would suck ass for the rest of the NL

I think last year's sale of the Texas Rangers demonstrated that a fire sale isn't necessary in order to sell the club, especially when its owner is in no position to try to save his own skin.

I don't see a firesale either. Dodgers have money coming off the books this offseason.

Probably true since it IS the Dodgers....as much as some of us may hate them they are one of the storied franchises, and would be a great purchase for the right person('s).......But as a Padre fan I can hope for it

I wish I had the money to buy the Dodgers even with the debt and loans requirements, this would be a really quick turnaround for the simple fact they are the Dodgers and they are in LA.
