I haven't gone on a Barry Bonds tirade in awhile, and Reefer, before you go bonkers on me, this has nothing to do with him but ESPN.

Rob Neyer has been on the record saying Trevor Hoffman is not the greatest closer of all time because he doesn't have a World Series victory, yet Barry Bonds is the greatest HR hitter of all time? Bonds doesn't have a World Series ring, so how does 1 qualify and not the other?

Oh, and one more thing...John Kruk...YOU SUCK!

The ring counting argument is the lamest argument of all time when comparing individual players.

A strong argument can be made for Mariano without resorting to that asinine argument.

I grew up in Fresno actually. I lived on the opposite side of Clovis Lakes just off Ashlan and McCall. I haven't heard of that name before though....what or who are they?

I'm just going on this season alone, but here's what I've been able to find....

Giants w/ a Bonds HR:

April (5-2)
May (2-2)
June (1-3)
July (0-1)

Total: 8-8

Giants w/o a Bonds HR:

April (7-8)
May (8-13)
June (8-13)
July (1-0)

Total: 24-34

It's going to take a lot longer to find what the Giants record is career wise, but I don't think these stats mean much because he doesn't hit HR's every game, so I can't say one way or the other if they're better with or without his HR's.

It's some week long outdoor school/camp I went to when I was in 6th grade living in Hanford.

It's in Visalia, or somewhere near there.
