Only teams in baseball not to have a no-hitter in their entire history: Mets, Devil Rays, Rockies and Padres.

Padres don't have a cycle either.

Of the 3 they don't have (no-hitter, cycle, WS title) the latter is all I really care about in the long run.

You sure that you wouldn't rather have 10 years of making the playoffs?

You know........I'll take a decade of playoffs, since the will mean a decade of chances......I'd love to have that kind of baseball around here.....and even the Braves figured out how to win once during their run

the Braves' situation doesn't fit my scenario because they won once.

Asking if someone would take a decade of playoffs, but with zero WS wins or if they'd take one WS win and 9 years in the cellar is a tough question because you're either giving up any wins in the WS or having to put up with 9 years of destitude.

I'll take a decade of Div. wins over one ring and 9 crappy years.......at least you get great baseball for a decade and you would have a shot each year...

Are you going to bet on the team coming off 9 straight losing seasons to win another championship over a perennial contender? Would you rather be the Boston Celtics post-Larry Bird era or the Phoenix Suns?

    I just wanted to say

    Martyball blows.

2 pass attempts in the 2nd half until the final drive. Way to nurse a 6 point lead Marty.
    Nobody lookin out for nobody
Maybe we should try and help somebody or be somebody
Instead of being somebody that makes the news
So everybody can tweet about it
And then they start to R.I.P. about it
And four weeks later nobody even speaks about it.

    I hate Marty.

I used to be one of his staunchest defenders, but not anymore.

How do you justify running the ball down the middle on 3rd and 9, backed up to your own goal line with a <7 point lead?

I understand the guy wants to run the clock down, but you can't run the clock down if you don't have the ball. You can't keep the ball if you don't get first downs. You can't get first downs if all you do is run every freaking play, to include 3rd and long.

Ravens were total ass and got outplayed all game long, McNair looked like shit and was one-hopping passes and overthrowing his receivers, they couldn't run the ball, they couldn't pass, they did nothing right ... up until the very last minute of the game when they lucked out.

Chargers were way too conservative with the lead!
