All I have is word of mouth, but the 1090 is reporting Giles has been resigned and it'll be announced tomorrow.

3 years, 30 mil with a club option for a 4th year at another 9 mil, or a 3 mil buyout if they don't take the 4th year.

If the Padres keep Giles, they won't have to admit that in the end they gave up Oliver Perez and Jason Bay for nothing.

Same thing is being reported this am........... Giles signes for 3 / 30M option for year 4.......... the first thing Giles said when asked about the signing was " they got it done, now lets get the other one done" meaning Hoffman..........

A Hoffman deal sounds out of the question now since you have one of the most expensive OFs in the NL if not the most. It was a good signing but Klesko is still there.

Hoffman still a possibity if they can get this "lifetime" deal done for him.........but we'll see
