Towers talking to Arizona, Frost new GM?
First it was mentioned on a report on 1090 that Towers has been talking to Arizona for their vacant GM spot, and that if he accepts an offer we won't counter-offer.
I got this from another forum and this is my only source, so I can't link anything.
Furthermore, The same guy posted this.
According to todays USA Sportsweekly on "The Buzz" section by Bob Nightengale.
"GM David Forst will become the next Padres FM if Kevin Towers leaves for the D-backs"

OFFICE POLITICS: A's assistant GM David Forst turned down a chance to interview for the GM job in Arizona. Tigers assistant Al Avila, formerly of the Marlins, will interview along with White Sox assistant David Wilder and former Red Sox GM Dan Duquette. The ability to work closely with Diamondbacks President Jeff Moorad will be crucial. ... Speculation remains that Padres GM Kevin Towers could jump to Arizona, leaving the San Diego job open for either Padres special assistant Grady Fuson or maybe even Forst. Both share Oakland roots with Padres President Sandy Alderson. ...
