That ERA for Dempster wasn't a typo, he must've had a horrid outing in his last outing. Anyways, don't know who, if anyone, will be here. I won't cuz I'll be at work. But hey, I suppose it's better to have a gameday thread with three replies than no thread at all

The game's on the road, so hopefully the bats will be alive.

Somebody did start a negative thread on Greene after yesterday game Man, if it's like that after every loss, it's going to be a lonnnngggg season in that forum.

that thread was actually started in gest poking fun at all the assinine Trevor threads that popped up after opening day.

and padrefanforever, I don't know how much time, if any, you spend at the UT thread, but when he said "negative thread" he's not talking about someone starting a thread expressing concern over Khalil's recent errors...he's talking about a thread entitled "Khalil is overated!" which goes on to state that he sucks. Although, as previously stated this thread in question was in jest because posters over there frequently post crap like that after losses. After the first game there was three "Trevor sucks!" threads there.

Actually, I meant the Khalil's entrance music thread. Gotta find a negative out of something I'm not saying that people should put on rose-color glasses after every loss and ignore all the negative things, but common, picking on the guy music?

comparing the UT forum to the Padres MLB board is a bit much. There's actually a lot of intelligent posters over there and I still post there on consistant basis. They just have one too many negative neds of sorts who overreact to losses, go off on tirades because of such, and draw conclusions off solitary games. The vast majority of these posts/threads don't really come from the regulars who post all the time. Usually it's from posters who are only there to complain.

As far as the Khalil music thread goes, wheras it is someone making a big, misinformed deal about nothing, it wasn't really about his play. (although he did bring it up) Apparantly one of the songs that they play when Khalil comes to bat has a curse word at some point...but not durring the part they usually play. Well, apparantly the morons who control the music and stuff let the song go a bit too far while Khalil was coming to bat and the curse word portion of the song (which hpapend to be a hip hop song) came over the intercom. Well this guy decided to start a post berating Khalil for choosing a hip hop song with curse words as his music.

Anyways, don't want to bring the assinine discussion over here, just explaining it, lol.

Padres managed to scrounge out a run, Eaton pitched six strong shutout innings with zero walks. Linebrink had a usual Linebrink-ish 7th.

It's now the top of the 8th with two outs for Ryan Klesko, 1-0 Padres
