Forget all the haters.
I'm loving every move AJ Preller is making. As a lifelong Padres' fan, I'm just happy to see my team spend $$$ to try to win vs. spend as little as possible and try to put the "best" product out on the field.
I wonder if we will see Melvin Upton play any short.

And four weeks later nobody even speaks about it.
I doubt Melvin plays anything in the infield. He'll likely just be an expensive 4th OFer over the life of his contract. The only way I see him getting starting time is either through injury or a combination of them not getting his brother extended and Renfroe not panning out. Although I suppose Myers to 1B and benching Alonso isn't out of the question.
Rumor is Preller's on the phones looking for a SS right now.
