Nobody is calling this current version of the Padres a "dream team"
However, we are definitely going to be in contention this year in a deep NL West.
Our rotation as it is, is pretty deep with Shields, Ross, Cashner and Kennedy. Sure its not headlined by Kershaw/Greinke or even Scherzer/Strasburg, but it is good enough to win the WC or division.
We just need a shortstop.

It's funny that the message from PFF and all the lemmings was "forget the haters" when your team made their offseason push to contend. As if they never mocked the Dodgers when they went on their own questionable spending sprees.
