That was predictably terrible. Padres get 1-hit by Jorge freakin' De La Rosa. A-Gon, Hundley, and Hairston all struck out 3 times each. As a team, the Padres have struck out 38 times in 4 games. That's not good.

Not really surprising since De La Rosa was pretty good after the all-star break, 10-2 with 94 k's.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

Yeah, De La Rosa can certainly rack up the K's when he wakes up on the right side of the bed. When he goes bad... he goes real bad, but when he is on, he can pitch a game like this (especially against a team where the bats aren't the strongest.)

All of De la Rosa's 9 strikeouts were on changeups. The Padres apparently cannot hit changeups.
I stick it up for you Jobu. You no help me now...I say **** you Jobu. I do it myself.

I don't think the padres could beat the minor league team in Major League 3

Jimenez struck out 7, but at the moment, the padres are still in the game.

I like de la Rosa as a free agent. He could be a stud away from Colorado - or another Oliver Perez, but I believe DLR's changeup sets him apart from other wild power lefties.
The Pirates have been rumored to go hard after him as have the Nats.
What's the point of bumping a random game thread in the Padres forum to say that when there are plenty of more current offseason rumor threads where it could have been posted in?
No, wait, don't answer that. You wanted to bump the fact that he 1-hit the Padres in a form of concealed smack talk even though you pitch a fit when I bump the Don Mattingly thread to laugh about him not being able to finish a game because he ran out of pitchers.

He bumped Padres-Rockies on a night when there's Chargers-Broncos. Spooky!
didn't feel like starting a new thread, and the first four posts affirmed my thoughts of de la Rosa.
Finally, in response to you rubbing it in with Mattingly's "double" trip to the mound, as egregious of a mistake as it seems, if I choose to think about it rationally, I fault Loney just as much for waiting until the manager starts walking off to ask about about his defensive positioning, and it's only human instinct to turn around when someone calls for you.
But in the words of J Five, you should still GFY.
