It's just the stigma. Now that Klesko and Nevin are gone and all thats left is Giles, these new guys kinda rode on the stigma for a while. But hey, it is long past time for that jinx to be dealt with and buried. Other teams don't seem to have a prob with Petco and these are guys are starting to come around too. Go Gonzo!!!

This is one time I'm glad I'm not in SD if fans are crying for the fences to be moved in. Freaking Padre fans are such chumps. Seriously.

Actually, if you look at the overall numbers, they do.

Fans just hold that perception that they don't because they remember the home runs that are hit.

But I'll try not to respond any further on the subject, other than to point out that I don't think the fences really need to be moved in.

It'd just be nice if those who argue against moving the fences in would at least acknowledge the fact that PetCo suppresses home runs more than pretty much any other park.

Fair enough. I HATE stats for the most part so I wouldn't know, but I know you would.

I agree that moving the fences would be a cop out and hell, it'd give the opposing teams more homers too.
