Whether or not you come out and say it it's obviously what you believe when you choose to continue to argue that it's not a pitcher's park and the reason we don't see more home runs in PetCo than other places is because of the personnel.

Personnel is a big reason....it's not the only reason.....this is what I've said, and maintained.......when you change that to the "only reason" you fabricate a flat out lie.....and I don't appreciate it......

We're more arguing over the aspect of whether or not it's harder to hit home runs at PetCo as compared to other stadiums.

We both agree that the fences don't really need to be moved, but the reasonings aren't quite the same.

PFF believes this because he believes that hitting a home run at PetCo is no different than hitting one at any other park, save the band boxes like Philly's stadium, and the main underlying reason we see less home runs is due to the personnel.

I believe that PetCo is the pitcher's park that everyone says it is, it is harder to hit it out of PetCo than pretty much anywhere else (and the numbers show this...numbers from the opposition that is.) but I don't think that that's a big deal as long as they build a team that can win.

PetCo is what it is. If you put together a team of really good players that are really good at what they do they'll win ballgames regardless of how the home park plays.

Basically, we agree with the main issue but we disagree on the reasoning.

No, never. With me its just stoner logic, me being a Giants fan or some other lame insult that has nothing to do with the argument at hand. Then later I am proven right and I always get the last laugh. If it was categorized as silly banter, threads would not be closed. PFF and I have closed our share and share all the blame for threads closing and fans leaving. I am man enough to admit that and frankly don't care anymore. Bigger fish to fry than a guy who doesn't know what he is ever talking about (take this argument for instance) and doesn't participate in the rest of the forum.

I just have an issue where if I see horrible logic displayed I have a tendency to want to call it out, even if I agree with the end result.

Stating or insinuating that a string of HRs in a home stand proves that you can hit a home run at PetCo just as easily (relatively speaking, of course) as you can anywhere else is atrociously horrible logic.

Whether or not the fences need to be moved in is not the debate between us, so I'm hardly "representing" that side.

You just seem to be of the impression that "PetCo suppresses home runs" = "I want the fences moved in".

Hey, I was willing to drop the debate a long time ago and you said we should keep going.

As stated at SOSD, I think we're pretty much in agreement, but the debate goes on because I'm assuming you don't think it's a pitcher's park in the slightest and you're assuming I actually want the fences moved in, but neither assumption is true.

I think this "debate" is dead.

So is this room......so why not argue about something......even if we agree on it....

Stop assuming also
