SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Barry Bonds was indicted Thursday for perjury and obstruction of justice, charged with lying when he told a federal grand jury that he did not knowingly use performance-enhancing drugs.

"During the criminal investigation, evidence was obtained including positive tests for the presence of anabolic steroids and other performance enhancing substances for Bonds and other athletes,"

I'm surprised this was posted on the 15th and no one has commented. All I can say is I feel sad for his sons, who will forever have to live with thte fact that their dad lied to the world and to them.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- The perjury case against former San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds will be heard by the same federal judge who presided over cases against others linked to a steroids ring centered at a Bay Area lab.

Court documents released Tuesday show the case has been transferred to U.S. District Judge Susan Illston. The move comes at the request of federal prosecutors, who said having Illston preside over the case would be more efficient.

Every other athlete that took steroids didn't break any records, and wasn't relevant in the game. Who really cares about Armando Rios, Marvin Benard,Josias Manzanillo, and FP Santangelo?

And the only other relevant name is Clemens and he's not getting a free pass at all.

The only testimony that matters in this case is Estalella's since he was the only person around Bonds the majority of the time. It all depends and what he says.
