W-W-W.
Wait, it's just one game.
W then.

An acquaintance of mine in San Diego once said "San Diego teams always break your heart."
They'll win this game.
But on the off chance they don't, mofo will come back and quote his post and proclaim "I told you so" on the grounds of a former acquaintance of his parroting an overused cliche.

How many times have the Padres been in a position on the last day of a season to make the playoffs, and failed ?
I think it's zero.........anyone know ?
I know Fogg pitched well in his last start, but I have no doubt in my mind that Peavy will take care of business tonight(Monday).
I have an eerie feeling that Peavy is going to rape the Rockies. I'm still bitter I couldn't get tickets to the game.
50,000 tickets for a game that got scheduled a couple of hours ago and you couldn't get a couple of tickets? wow.
I was home for the weekend and was planning on driving back up to school @ CSU (approx 3 and a half hours). Well I left after the bottom of the 9th, missed all the shit in the top of the ninth and everything and got on the road. I found the Rockies had won and had my sister look into ticket info. The Rockie's site was so swamped that you had to refresh your browser every minute just to get in. She told me she'd keep trying and would let me know if she could get in. No call once I arrived in FoCo I ran up to my computer and tried to get in but the tickets were sold out by 8 RMS time.
And how many times have we seen them as many games over 500 as they are. Even if they lose today it was another successful season with a winning record. The truth is the NL West was a tough division this year and I wouldnt be surprised to see the WS winner come from it.
Peavy + we're on the road + we're hitting well right now + playing in the house Khalil Greene built should = Padres win
Is this the new SS thread?
