Trevor Hoffman does his best to implode but manages to escape on the skin of his teeth with Troy Tulowitzki making the Rockies final out with at least 1 runner on.

Yup. Can't wait for the game tonight! I still can't believe Gwynn. Well, we're playing baseball in October and anything can happen! Here's hopin' :plate
Things are on the Padres side because everyone on Baseball Tonight picked the Rockies to win. I am still going with the Rockies because everything is in their favor. They are at home and have all the momentum facing a pitcher that isn't exactly a big game pitcher. Not that Josh Fogg is but we don't really know what he can do. Should be a great game that hardly anyone will see since no one is putting this on TV.

Not that it wouldn't help them a lot.Again.......we have to sweep in SF and Pitt, cause CO and MI are going to suckOrigianlly posted by PFF
I'm thinking 92 wins is going to be required if the Phillies don't let up........and if so.........yes we will need a 4 games sweep of either Pitt or the Brews, and IMO Pitt is more realisitic........to go with this we also have to win each series the rest of the way........11-3 the rest of the way......where do you see those 11 coming from ?
4 w/ Pitt - Has to be 4
3 w/ CO - they own us this year, 2 wins would be huge for us
3 in SF - 3 game sweep
4 in MIL - 2-4 would be huge for us since MI will be playing for a playoff spot also
So sweep Pitt and sweep SF again........a series win vs. CO, and a split in MI........otherwise.......I'm not so sure we're going to see the post season with the way the teams that tracked us down are playing........just trying to stay realistic here
Rockies have been playing loose, which is scary. They're smiling, having a good time, knowing they're not supposed to be where they are. The first two games against Milwaukee, the Brewers were pressing - nervous, struggling, fending off elimination. After they were out they played loose the last two games. Padres were gripping, shaking their heads, letting the pressure get to them.
Hopefully tonight they don't press. 6 hours til gametime!
Maddux needs to remind Jake to control his emotions...... if he's able to do that, the Rockies are going to have their hands full.......
Jr. or Sr.........I think it what they were wanting to know........or by calling him Anthony instead of Tony is that your way of identifying each
I didn't think Colorado was going to win 13 out of 14 when I initially fended off your "we absolutely must sweep or the season is over" comments.
Remember, the base of my argument was "Colorado nor Philly is going to win every game from here on out."
Much to my chagrin, Colorado just about did that.
Kudos to them, and it made your dire requests true.
