Some starters pretty much the core of our team.......
And to play the C string and not give AGon the day off also is just naive
Kouz, Khalil, and Giles are the "core of our team"?
And you suggest benching Adrian in the same breath?
Who would you suggest starting in his place?
I'm sure if we had a first baseman worth a shit Adrian would've had a few rest games a long time ago.

Resting both Kouz and Greene at the sametime can't happen.......resting both of them and Giles is just stupid.......resting all of them and not resting AGon makes no sense at all.........If you're going to run up the white flag and give the Dodgers a game, at least get AGon some rest......he's the guy that deserves it and needs it the most........
All this is being said because nobody has said anything about injuries that might have gotten them the bench for the day.......if someone has one, that changes everything.....
It has nothing to do with injuries and everything to do with it being a day game.
Resting starters on day games is common practice.
It happened all year last year, all season the year before, and it's been happening all season this year.
It's nothing different than what we've always seen, which is why I'm curious as to your surprise.
And I'm still curious as to who plays first in Adrian's absence.
I guess Blum can play there.

Branyan and Blum could both fill in for AGon to spell him for a day.........neither is a great choice, but both are able.......
I attend mainly day games.......and I can't remember any where the whole left side of the IF and our 10M RFer were all given the day off at the sametime......so NO it's not common practice.......
it IS common for the starting catcher to see day games off after so many in a row......it IS common to see a starter rested during a day game........I would say it is NOT common to see 3 main players sat though especially when playing the Dodgers, who are on our asses in the NLWest, and looking to sweep them.......not common at all actually
Well, let's see
Branyan and Kouz have pretty much been interchanged a lot. (as well as Blum there)
I know Blum starts for Khalil a lot on Sundays
So, really, the only thing different is they sat Brian Giles, who's recently back from the DL

Just out of morbid curiousity. Does anyone know who the backup 1st baseman is?
