Good to hear that wrist and oblique isn't hurting him as badly and some thought (me).
Bradley is due to come off the DL tomorrow, I would activate him and let him get at least 1 game in. The way they say he's punching the ball to all fields, he could really give this offense a boost.

I was playin' with you Reefer, I know you're a baseball fan like the rest of us. As far as your point about Bradley, I do HALF agree with you. A part of me says keep him off until after the ASB, but I think giving him one game's worth of AB's is not going to hurt. At least it will give you an idea of what this guy can do for you. I think you play him Friday or Saturday and then give him a few pinch hit appearances the remainder of the weekend.

I think you need to start Bradley during this series, regardless if it's tonight, Saturday or Sunday. The Padres CANNOT limp into the All-Star break losing 2 of 3 to the Braves.

Start him after the ASB like you said, I would rather him be extremely refreshed and ready to go after the ASB then risk him reinjuring the oblique before it just so he can get some time in, phooey. This guy is a proven MLB player and doesnt need an extra day before the break just to be touchey feely with his new mates.
Jay, I respectfully disagree. If Atlanta comes in here and takes 2 of 3 from us and the Dodgers sweep the Marlins, you go into the All Star break losing 4 of your last 6 games and face a 1-2 game deficit. Why not give the guy 1 game to see what he can do for you? I think playing him all 3 days may be a little much, so I agree with that point, but I don't think it hurts to start him 1 time during this series.

If Atlanta comes in and takes 2 of 3 from us it wont be changed whether Bradley is in the line up or not for any of those games. This offense is freaking anemic right now he isnt going to make a difference. Maybe it's just me I like to rounded numbers, clean borders, and hate pennies, so maybe thats why I dont want him starting a game or 2 before a major break and would rather just have it happen as the new half starts. I do have some OCD tendencies that way.
You don't know that Bradley can't change how this offense performs. He hasn't played 1 game in a Padre uniform yet, so to say he's not going change anything is a little premature. I never said he was going to change anything, but I think you give him 1 game to see if he does make a difference. That way, you know what to look forward to after the All-Star break.
